Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 6:02 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of 32nd Avenue South and South 31st Street in Grand Forks following a severe collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
According to the Grand Forks Police Department, 18-year-old Jordan Anderson of Grand Forks was operating a 1996 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on 32nd Avenue South. At the same time, a 2023 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by 48-year-old Samuel Turner of Mesa, Arizona, was traveling westbound and attempting to make a left turn onto South 31st Street. The motorcycle collided with the pickup, becoming lodged underneath. Both vehicles subsequently became fully engulfed in flames.
Anderson sustained severe, incapacitating injuries and was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance. The driver of the pickup and his passengers were not injured.
In a Facebook post, Anderson’s mother provided an update on his condition:
“Jordan is not burned, but basically from the waist down, he broke every bone in multiple places. They had to do CPR for 2 minutes due to massive blood loss, but got him back. Thank God. He was currently in surgery and will need many more surgeries. He is stable for right now. Keep the prayers coming.”
The crash remains under investigation by the Grand Forks Police Department. Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
