Chase Through Greater Grand Forks on a Friday Night

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) One man is facing a string of charges following a Friday night pursuit that started in Grand Forks, traveled into East Grand Forks and was ended with a PIT maneuver in Grand Forks.
a grand forks man is in custody following a friday night pursuit uh this from sergeant andrew stein of the grand forks police department on september 11th the police were dispatched to the 2700 block of gateway drive for a report of a hit-and-run crash that had just occurred involving two vehicles a deputy from the grand forks sheriff’s office was in the area at the time of the call and attempted to stop the suspect in a pursuit was initiated by the deputy a short pursuit ensued and the suspect left grand forks and entered east grand forks via the sorely bridge after a short distance the suspect re-entered grand forks on gateway drive a grand forks officer entered the pursuit at 2700 gateway drive and a pursuit intervention technique a pit maneuver was successfully performed on the suspect vehicle the pit maneuver ended at the pursuit in the 2900 block of gateway drive and the male driver was taken into custody without further incident the driver was identified as 23 year old grand forks resident alan bear bear was arrested and charged with fleeing in a motor vehicle leaving the scene of an accident dui reckless endangerment and care required no injuries were reported as a result of the initial crash and no injuries resulted from the pursuit or subsequent uh pit maneuver traffic on gateway drive was shut down for approximately 30 minutes while officers were on scene grand forks sheriff’s office und police east grand forks police assisted in the incident anyone with information is encouraged to contact the grand forks police department i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
