Langdon, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A shocking incident has rocked the quiet town of Langdon in Cavalier County, North Dakota. A local man, Kirk Feil, is now facing a Class C felony charge after allegedly threatening to shoot a county road grader operator “right between the eyes” during a confrontation over gravel work on nearby roads.
According to court documents, the incident occurred on March 14th at the Langdon Eagles Club, where the victim was discussing with another man plans to reclaim roads — a process involving pushing gravel from ditches back onto the road. Feil reportedly overheard the conversation and aggressively warned the man not to perform such work near his property. His threat was disturbingly specific: “If you do, I’ll shoot you — right between the eyes.”
The charge of threatening a public servant is a serious one in North Dakota, carrying a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison if convicted.
This incident highlights rising tensions in rural communities over land use and public maintenance activities — and just how fast those tensions can escalate into criminal threats.
