Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A local woman has been formally charged following a reported theft at Hugo’s Grocery Store in Thief River Falls on February 4, 2025, at approximately 5:20 PM.
Cassandra Mae Horgeshimer, age 44, of 223 Brooks Avenue S, Thief River Falls, MN, is accused of stealing items from the store without consent. The case has been classified as a Criminal/Traffic Mandatory offense.
According to Officer Jonathon Erickson of the Thief River Falls Police Department, surveillance footage clearly identified Horgeshimer as the individual involved in the theft. She was seen on camera operating a white Cadillac Escalade, and Hugo’s employees confirmed the vehicle’s registration matched her identity. The charge falls under Statute 609.52.2(a)(1) for Theft – Take/Use/Transfer Movable Property Without Consent, a misdemeanor offense.
The incident took place at 215 Pennington Avenue, and the citation was issued in person. No fingerprints were taken during the citation process. The vehicle involved was not commercial or hazardous.
