MOORHEAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a startling incident on Friday, April 11, 2025, a pickup truck crashed into a residence at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 9th Street North in Moorhead, Minnesota. According to Moorhead Police, the driver experienced a medical emergency and, in an attempt to pull over, mistakenly accelerated, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, over a curb, and into the home’s living room.
Brad Olson, a local business owner, recounted hearing a prolonged screech followed by the crash. He attempted to assist by entering the home through the back door but was soon relieved by arriving emergency responders. The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation, while the passenger remained uninjured and stayed at the scene. Fortunately, the homeowner was absent during the incident.
Neighbors expressed concerns about the safety of the intersection, noting its history of accidents and the exacerbating effect of ongoing construction. Authorities are investigating the incident and have contacted the homeowner regarding the damages.
