Alexandria, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A terrifying incident unfolded at Calvary Lutheran Preschool in Alexandria, Minnesota, when a 4-year-old child began choking and turned unresponsive. Thanks to the swift actions of local first responders, a potential tragedy was averted.
At approximately 12:26 p.m. on Friday, April 11, Alexandria Police received a 911 call reporting that a child was choking at the preschool. Officers, sheriff’s deputies, and North Ambulance personnel were dispatched immediately. Upon arrival, the first deputy found the child turning blue and unresponsive. Emergency life-saving techniques were administered, and an assisting officer successfully removed the foreign object causing the obstruction. The child began breathing and was transported to the hospital by North Ambulance, where they were reunited with their parents.
This incident highlights the importance of prompt emergency response and the effectiveness of trained personnel in life-threatening situations.
