Cass Lake Woman Faces Jail Meth Charges

Cass Lake (trfnews.i234.me) — Erica Lynn White faces two gross misdemeanor charges in Cass County. The charges follow a booking search at the Cass County Jail, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint says White was located in Cass Lake on December 16, 2025. Authorities said she had an active warrant from Cass County. She was arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail.

What the Complaint Says

According to the court filing, White was asked if she had anything on her that should not enter the jail. The complaint says she said no. During booking, jail staff allegedly found a small bag hidden in her clothing.

The complaint says the bag held a white crystal substance and a brown rock-like substance wrapped in foil. Authorities said the items weighed about 0.3 grams and 0.19 grams. The complaint states both items later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Prosecutors charged White with fifth-degree drug possession and introducing contraband into a jail. Both charges are listed as gross misdemeanors in the complaint.

Possible Penalties

The drug possession count cites Minnesota Statute 152.025. The jail contraband count cites Minnesota Statute 641.165.

Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail, a $3,000 fine, or both, according to the complaint.

White is charged, but not convicted. The complaint contains allegations. The case will move through the court process before any final outcome is reached.
