Cass Lake Woman Charged After False Name Claim
CASS LAKE (trfnews.i234.me) — A Remer woman faces two charges after a late-night bicycle stop.
Angel Renee Littlewolf, 27, is charged in Cass County District Court. The case was filed under court number 11-CR-26-703.
The first count alleges she gave an officer another person’s name during a lawful stop. That charge is a gross misdemeanor.
The second count alleges unlawful possession of gabapentin without a prescription. That charge is listed as a misdemeanor.
All charges are allegations. Littlewolf is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Bicycle Stop Led to Identity Questions
The complaint says a deputy saw a woman riding a bicycle shortly after midnight on May 21, 2026.
The bicycle had no light while traveling along Grant Utley Avenue Southwest. A deputy stopped the rider in the 600 block.
Investigators allege Littlewolf first gave another woman’s name and birth date. She then changed parts of the date several times.
The complaint says she also gave different answers about her age. Deputies continued asking questions about her identity.
She later claimed to be another person, according to the complaint. Deputies arrested her after her statements remained inconsistent.
Identification and Pills Found
During a search, deputies found identification showing Littlewolf’s name and birth date. A records check showed two active felony warrants.
The warrants were listed from Crow Wing and Itasca counties. The complaint does not describe the underlying warrant cases.
At the jail, staff searched Littlewolf’s clothing. They found a bag containing 19 white, oval pills in a hidden sweatshirt pocket.
The pills had a “T1” imprint and were identified as gabapentin. The complaint says Littlewolf showed no prescription for the medication.
Gabapentin is a prescription drug regulated under Minnesota Statute 151.37.
The false-name charge falls under Minnesota Statute 609.506.
Possible Penalties
The gross misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail. It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.
The drug count carries up to 90 days in jail. It also carries a possible $1,000 fine.
A future hearing will determine the next steps in the case. No conviction has been entered on either charge.
