Cass Lake Man Charged in Felony Assault Case

Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Park Rapids man is facing felony charges after an alleged domestic incident in Cass County.

Michael Scott Armstrong, 28, of Park Rapids, Minnesota, has been charged with felony domestic assault and felony threats of violence.

The charges were filed in Cass County District Court. Court records list the case as 11-CR-26-996.

The complaint states the alleged incident happened on July 8, 2026, near a campsite in the Cass Lake area.

According to court documents, deputies responded after a report involving Armstrong and his girlfriend.

Authorities said Armstrong was not at the location when deputies arrived.
