Cass Lake Man Charged After Driving Without a License
Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Minneapolis man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after authorities say he drove in Cass Lake while his driving privileges were canceled.
Traffic Stop Leads To Charge
Bryan Dale Archambault, 48, of Minneapolis, is charged in Cass County District Court with driving after cancellation that was considered inimical to public safety.
The charge comes from an incident reported on July 9, 2026, in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
According to the criminal complaint, authorities stopped a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling on Grant Utley Avenue.
The vehicle had expired registration. Court documents state the registration expired in July 2025.
Archambault was identified as the driver during the traffic stop.
Authorities say Archambault told them he did not have a valid driver’s license.
The complaint states he had recently purchased the vehicle but did not have paperwork showing ownership.

The complaint states he had actual notice or reason to know about the cancellation.
The vehicle was towed following the traffic stop.
Items Found During Vehicle Search
According to court documents, an inventory search of the vehicle found suspected drug-related items.
The complaint lists hypodermic needles, a scale, micro-baggies, foil squares, and a small amount of marijuana.
The criminal charge currently filed against Archambault is related to driving after cancellation.
The charge is a gross misdemeanor under Minnesota Statute 171.24.5.
If convicted, the offense carries a possible maximum sentence of up to 364 days in jail, a fine of up to $3,000, or both.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
