Cass County (https://trfnews.i234.me) – Fargo police are investigating two separate shootings that left two people dead early Sunday morning.

According to Fargo police, the first incident occurred around 1:56 a.m. in the 50 block of Broadway in downtown Fargo. Three adults were shot. One victim died at the scene, another remains in critical condition, and a third suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A second shooting happened about 30 minutes later, at approximately 2:26 a.m., in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South. Officers responding to that scene found one individual deceased. No other injuries were reported in that incident.

Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney said the city is shaken by the events, but emphasized that Fargo remains a safe community with a dedicated police force. He asked for public patience as investigators work to uncover facts rather than speculation.

Police Chief Dave Sabolski stated that detectives are actively gathering evidence and conducting interviews to determine the sequence of events leading to the shootings. He urged anyone with information to contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660.

At this time, it is unknown whether the two shootings are connected. The Fargo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate both incidents.
