FARGO, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – The North Dakota Sex Offender Registry lists Michael Christian Ashmead, 28, as incarcerated following convictions in Cass County for crimes involving minors.
Court records show Ashmead was convicted in Cass County District Court of two separate charges:

Possession of material – sexual conduct by a minor (12.1-27.2-04.1).

Promoting sexual performance by a minor (12.1-27.2-04).
For the possession conviction, Ashmead received a five-year sentence, with 18 months to serve and 36 days of credit for time already spent in custody. He will also serve five years of supervised probation.
For the promotion charge, Ashmead was sentenced to 10 years, with 18 months to serve and the same 36 days of credit. That term also includes five years of supervised probation. The sentences will run concurrently.
The registry lists Ashmead’s primary residence as 1800 48th Avenue SW, Bismarck, ND, in Burleigh County. His current status is incarcerated, with a moderate risk level. His registration is active until September 8, 2050.
Ashmead is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Registry records note a tattoo reading “RAWR” across his knuckles.
Officials stress that the sex offender registry is a public safety resource, but caution that it is illegal to misuse registry information to harass or threaten offenders.
