Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Canadian citizen is facing a felony drug charge in Minnesota after U.S. Customs agents at the Warroad Port of Entry discovered methamphetamine in his possession.
On June 28, 2025, 52-year-old Wade A. Gagnon of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, crossed into the U.S. with another individual, Lisa Marie Drouin. Customs officials found two baggies of suspected methamphetamine — one weighing 10.7 grams claimed by Gagnon, and another weighing 9.4 grams claimed by Drouin. Deputies from the Roseau County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene.
The meth tested positive, and meth-smoking devices were also found in the vehicle. Gagnon admitted to using meth and driving under its influence just hours before. Deputies secured a warrant and collected a urine sample for further testing.
Gagnon is charged with Third-Degree Possession of 10+ grams of a narcotic other than heroin or fentanyl, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
