GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A Grand Forks woman had been burglarized 2 times, when she’d had enough.
everyone Neil Berg here in Grand Forks with a burglary victim usually we don’t name people in crime stories but Aaron rumbled was willing to talk can I get the perspective of someone who was a victim of crime to kind of set the story your place had already been burglarized twice and you got sick of it yes and then I put up a security camera me and my friend especially over there and it caught James on video he actually saw the camera and he just tipped it over and kept going who is now in custody at James Ahriman yes with a felony burglary charge can you kind of tell folks I mean what it felt like if they haven’t been a victor from crime when you come home and see stuff missing from your home especially since it was a friend supposedly is just you feel very like violated and you can’t trust anybody I can’t sleep at night he took more than just items he took my peace of mind all right and that’s kind of the worst thing about it isn’t it and and is that true I mean you kind of get more of a distrust toward everybody okay all right so you glad you put in the security camera though yeah I wasn’t going to but my friend actually offered to let me borrow theirs and I’m like they won’t break in a third time okay so so you had photos or video because they took screenshots as the motion was detected okay and those were handed over to the police yes and you were able to identify the suspect instantly yeah and I just talked to me earlier mm-hmm and he’s now been charged with the felony of burglary can you explain to folks the what was in his booking photo blood running down his forehead I want to see he did that to himself because he’s been known for doing that I think it was anything like you know the police did it but and I don’t think he was in an accident I want to say he did that to himself a bit kind of bash up it as a wall alright for all the other folks out there I mean would you recommend they put in a surveillance cameras yes yes that would because you can control them on your phone everybody has cell phones now you just download a simple app and we’ll let you know if it you know detects motion or sound okay all right and you know I’m not just buying people or anything but it’s a very useful tool right all right thanks for talking to me thank you all right in Grand Forks I’m the old Carlson reporting for I news TV
