Brooklyn Park — High-Performance Plane Crashes into Minnesota Home After Departing Iowa

Brooklyn Park (trfnews.i234.me) — We now have critical new details surrounding the small plane crash that rocked Brooklyn Park, Minnesota — a suburb just northwest of Minneapolis — on this Saturday afternoon.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):

  • The aircraft departed Des Moines, Iowa at 11:12 a.m.

  • It was en route to Anoka County-Blaine Airport

  • The crash occurred at 12:20 p.m., when the plane slammed into a residential home in Brooklyn Park

The aircraft has been identified as a Socata TBM700, a high-performance single-engine turboprop capable of carrying up to six passengers.

⚠️ As of now:

  • No official word on how many were aboard

  • The Minnesota Star Tribune reports no one was inside the home at the time of the crash — a potential miracle amid the wreckage

Authorities and federal investigators are expected to release further information soon.

Did you know?

  • The Socata TBM700 can reach speeds over 300 knots (345 mph) and altitudes of over 30,000 feet

  • It’s often used for private and corporate flights due to its speed and range

  • This is not the first time a TBM aircraft has been involved in a residential area crash — previous incidents have raised safety concerns around dense suburbs
