Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On April 2, police received a report that a drunk motorist had just left a home and was traveling with her child. A

He allegedly observed the vehicle enter the Falls Stay N Play campground and stopped it a short time later.
Brooke Ashley Gustafson, 27, Thief River Falls, has been charged with second-degree driving while impaired – two or more aggravating factors, child endangerment – places child at risk of harm, and driving after revocation.
She was arrested.
Her boyfriend picked up their child. According to the complaint, the deputy learned Gustafson’s driving privileges were revoked due to a pending DWI charge from February. She was out of jail on conditions of release and required to submit to testing for alcohol or drugs by law enforcement upon reasonable suspicion.
Gustafson allegedly initially declined to comply with a preliminary breath test. She later agreed. The complaint indicated that the result was 0.261 blood alcohol content. Gustafson failed field sobriety tests.
Later, at the Law Enforcement Center, a Minnesota state trooper certified in the DMT machine conducted a DMT test. That result was 0.20 BAC.
The complaint indicated that Gustafson has a prior conviction for DWI and has the aforementioned pending DWI case, the latter where her baby was also present.
