Brentwood Tragedy: Rob Reiner and Wife Found Dead in Home

Brentwood (trfnews.i234.me) – A tragic discovery occurred on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, when authorities found two bodies at a Brentwood home owned by actor and filmmaker Rob Reiner. The victims were identified as Reiner, 78, and his wife, Michele, who was believed to be 68 years old. Both died from lacerations consistent with a knife, according to TMZ.

Emergency responders arrived at the 200 block of Chadbourne Avenue around 3:40 p.m. after receiving a call for medical aid. Upon entering the residence, first responders found the couple dead. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the deaths, and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation.

Rob Reiner, best known for his role as “Meathead” in the iconic television series All in the Family (1971–1979), went on to become a highly successful filmmaker. His directing credits include beloved films such as When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, and A Few Good Men. In 2023, Reiner also released the Who Killed JFK podcast with journalist Soledad O’Brien, offering a new perspective on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

In addition to his contributions to the entertainment industry, Reiner and Michele were known for hosting a high-profile fundraiser at their Brentwood residence in 2024, attended by then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

The LAPD is currently investigating the case, and while Reiner’s representatives have yet to comment, the community is left in shock by the news.
