Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) – A destructive fire tore through a Quonset building and destroyed at least one vehicle just north of Grand Forks city limits early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at 4802 70th Avenue North, a few miles north of the city off North Washington Street. According to the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department, the initial emergency call reported a vehicle on fire inside the building.
The Manvel Fire Department was the first on the scene, with backup requested from the Thompson and Gilby fire departments. Upon arrival, responders found the structure engulfed in flames, resulting in what appears to be a total loss of the Quonset and the vehicle inside.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and more details are expected as the cleanup continues.
