some breaking news out of hillsboro north dakota on this friday afternoon just wrapped up peacefully at about 1 30 p.m the sheriff and another deputy uh were chasing a suspect on foot who ran into the hospital uh here’s sheriff steve hunt uh trooper tried to initiate a traffic stop um or at least was out with a car a couple blocks from the elementary school there in hillsboro while he was behind the car the passenger exited the vehicle and took off running on foot uh trooper ordered him to halt he kept on going uh deputy and myself responded to the area uh saw the subject running through hillsborough and he ran into the hospital where we initially eventually caught up to him and he was taken into custody okay was he armed or anything any danger to folks in the hospital he was not armed he he was wanted on warrants out of grand forks county and also in norman county in minnesota so he’s arrested on those warrants he was cited for failure to halt and there may be other charges pending in trail county based on him going into the hospital obviously the hospital right now is in a semi lockdown as far as you know entering the hospital and steps you need to take while you’re in the hospital so um obviously he wasn’t maxed up or doing what he needed to do to be in the hospital okay but it’s all clear and nobody hurt or anything that’s correct the sheriff says the suspect in all this is 26 year old christopher bruce of hillsborough who was uh currently being taken to the grand forks county jail will update this story with his booking photo when it’s available i’m Neil Berg reporting for eye news dot tv
