GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a tense incident early Monday morning, employees at a Valley Dairy store in Grand Forks successfully disarmed an armed robber, leading to his arrest. At around 3:31 a.m., police responded to a robbery in progress at the corner of University Avenue and Washington Street. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Ian Kramchuck, entered the store wielding a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun and threatened the staff. A struggle ensued, during which the employees managed to overpower Kramchuck, forcibly taking the weapon from him and restraining him until police arrived. Kramchuck was arrested on charges of armed robbery, terrorizing, and physical obstruction of a government function. No injuries were reported, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact the Grand Forks Police Department.
