Blackduck Man Charged After Highway 89 Stop

Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Blackduck man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after a traffic stop on Highway 89 in Beltrami County.

According to a criminal complaint, Bryan Lee Johnson, 39, was charged with driving after cancellation that was listed as inimical to public safety. The charge was filed in Beltrami County District Court.

Court records show the charge stems from a March 18, 2026, traffic stop. The complaint says Johnson was driving on Highway 89 at about 5:45 p.m. when a state trooper stopped his vehicle.

Authorities say radar showed the vehicle was traveling 68 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone. After the stop, the driver was identified as Johnson.
