the East Grand Forks American Legion does a lot of great things for people holding benefits and whatnot apparently though they weren’t aware of the background of this spaghetti feed dinner for Bret Rowley that was scheduled for February 16th it’s now been canceled here’s the background on Rowley I did a story on him on Monday a convicted Grand Forks sex offender is facing a felony charge after allegedly engaging in sexual conversations on Facebook with area women 53 year-old Bret Rowley of Grand Forks has been charged with felony failure to register as a sexual offender according to the charge he provided false information on a Facebook account calling himself Bob Johnson while also disguising his facebook photo according to court records Rowley had multiple conversations with women from around our region that were sexual in nature in one conversation he allegedly said quote I’m naked did you want a video chat laughing online Raleigh has four previous convictions for indecent exposure now I just got off the phone with someone at the American Legion here in East Grand Forks I wasn’t able to get their name before they hung up but they did say the benefit for Bret Rowley has been canceled the idea was a benefit spaghetti dinner for Rowley who suffered a massive heart attack and this was to help pay for expenses I wasn’t able to get any more information out of them but apparently they didn’t know the background of Rowley that benefit has been cancelled I’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
