Traffic Stop At Bemidji Gas Station
According to the complaint, police stopped a silver Chevrolet Equinox around 4:30 p.m.
The complaint says the vehicle had many necklaces hanging from the rearview mirror.
Police say the stop was made for an equipment violation.
The driver pulled into Circle K South on Paul Bunyan Drive.
The driver was identified as Sara Lu Tibbetts.
Police reported signs that Tibbetts may have been impaired.
She later failed several field sobriety tests, according to the complaint.
Tibbetts was arrested for suspected impaired driving.
Police also reported finding a small bag containing a white crystalline substance.

Passenger Accused Of Giving False Name
The complaint says Hill was a passenger in the vehicle.
Authorities allege he first gave the name Thomas Hill.
He also allegedly gave a date of birth that did not match the records.
Police checked the name and found that the photo did not match the passenger.
The complaint says investigators later identified the passenger as Robin James Hill.
Hill was then arrested and removed from the vehicle.
When Hill stood up, police reported seeing a tinfoil bindle where he had been sitting.
The complaint says the bindle contained what appeared to be fentanyl.
Both Hill and Tibbetts were taken to the Beltrami County Law Enforcement Center.
Court records also state Hill had several active warrants.
Charges Remain Allegations
