Bemidji Man Charged After .31 DWI Arrest

Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji man is facing a gross misdemeanor DWI charge after authorities say he was found in a vehicle stuck in a ditch.

Anthony Gregory Hall, 51, of Bemidji, is charged in Beltrami County District Court with operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of .08 or higher within two hours of driving.

The charge stems from an incident reported on June 27, 2026, in Bemidji. Court documents state the incident happened near the Best Western Hotel on Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

Vehicle Found In Ditch

According to the criminal complaint, authorities responded around 1:31 a.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle in a ditch.

Officials said they found a red 2010 Toyota pickup truck stuck off the roadway. Hall was reportedly sitting in the driver’s seat.

The complaint states Hall showed signs of possible impairment. Those signs included bloodshot eyes, watery eyes, and slurred speech.

Hall allegedly told authorities he had consumed one bottle of beer. He also reportedly admitted he drove the truck into the ditch.

The complaint states the truck was not running when officials arrived. However, the keys were still in the ignition.

Breath Test Shows High Alcohol Level

According to court records, Hall was asked to complete field sobriety tests. The complaint states he was unable to successfully complete them.

Officials also attempted to have Hall provide a preliminary breath sample. Court documents state he did not complete that test.

Hall was later taken to the Beltrami County Jail. Officials read him the Minnesota breath test advisory.

The complaint states Hall initially refused a breath test. After the advisory was read again, he agreed to provide a sample.

The test reportedly showed an alcohol concentration of .31. The legal driving limit in Minnesota is .08.

Previous DWI History Listed

Court records state Hall has previous DWI-related convictions listed in his history.

The complaint lists a second-degree DWI case from 2019 and a third-degree DWI case from 2017.

The current charge is a gross misdemeanor. If convicted, the charge may carry up to 364 days in jail and a fine of up to $3,000.

All charges are allegations. Hall is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
