Bemidji (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass Lake man is facing a felony firearm theft charge after a reported vehicle break-in at a Bemidji hotel.

Cameron Juan Lindgren is charged in Beltrami County District Court with theft of a firearm.

He is also charged with fourth-degree damage to property.

The case is filed in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District under court file 04-CR-26-483.

Break-In Reported At Bemidji Hotel

According to the complaint, the incident happened February 13, 2026.

Police were called to the Best Western Hotel in Bemidji at about 3 a.m.

The report involved a vehicle break-in in the hotel parking lot.

Authorities were told the break-in happened between about 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.

The complaint says the suspect vehicle was described as a white Chrysler 300.

Police later found a white GMC Sierra in the parking lot.

The truck had a shattered rear driver’s side window.

The door was also open, according to court documents.

AR-15 Reported Missing

The truck owner, identified in the complaint as B.J., spoke with police.

B.J. said he believed Lindgren had damaged the truck.

According to the complaint, B.J. said an AR-15 was missing from the truck.

B.J. also reported getting a Snapchat message from A.N.

The message allegedly warned him not to come outside.

It also claimed Lindgren had taken the gun, according to the complaint.

Authorities later found A.N. and the Chrysler 300 at a residence.

A.N. told police Lindgren left on foot with the firearm.

She also said she saw Lindgren break into the truck and take the firearm.

Felony Charge Filed

Lindgren is charged with theft of a firearm under Minnesota Statute 609.52.

The firearm theft charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.

It also carries a possible $100,000 fine, or both.

The damage charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.595.

That charge is listed as a misdemeanor in the complaint.

A summons was issued in the case.

The charges are only accusations at this stage.

Lindgren is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
