Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) Maleeah Rose Guthrie, 22, of Bemidji, is charged with felony threats of violence.
The charge follows an alleged threat against a housing program manager, court records say.
What investigators allege
The criminal complaint was filed in Beltrami County District Court on February 9, 2026.
Police reviewed the report after speaking with a witness on February 6, 2026.
The complaint says the reported threats were made during a ride on February 3, 2026.
An employee said she was driving Guthrie and another client.
The witness said Guthrie was upset about losing her vehicle.
During the ride, Guthrie allegedly said she would have the manager killed.
The witness also said Guthrie threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The complaint says Guthrie said, “go back to Mexico”.
The witness told police she believed Guthrie could act on the threat.
Police later spoke with the manager, who reported fear for her safety.
The manager also reported fear for her family, according to the filing.

Prior contacts mentioned
The complaint describes earlier tension between Guthrie and the manager.
It says Guthrie was rude and insulting during a prior meeting.
It also says she threatened to call ICE during that meeting.
In January, Guthrie allegedly became aggressive and pushed the manager, the complaint says.
What Guthrie told police
Officers later located Guthrie, according to the complaint.
She denied making threats to kill the manager, the filing says.
She did admit the “go back to Mexico” comment, the complaint says.

Guthrie appeared in Beltrami County District Court on February 9, 2026.
Judge Annie P. Claesson-Huseby set bail at $20,000 without conditions.
The judge also allowed release at $0 with conditions.
The court ordered Guthrie to have no contact with the manager.
