Ponsford, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A woman was arrested on July 3 in Becker County after she allegedly screamed violent threats at a group of children swimming in Round Lake.
According to court records, 59-year-old Lorna Hanes yelled phrases including:

“This is Ojibwe territory, you need to leave!”

“I will come down there and kill you all”

“I’ll kill your children”
Witnesses told White Earth Police they felt terrified and relocated their children for the night. Officers found Hanes at a nearby cabin. She was “obviously intoxicated” and resisted arrest but was ultimately taken to Becker County Jail.
Hanes now faces:

Felony threats of violence

Misdemeanor harassment

Misdemeanor disorderly conduct
