Ogema, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Ponsford woman is now facing a misdemeanor domestic assault charge after a disturbing incident involving her former boyfriend in Becker County.
According to a criminal complaint filed on June 5, 2025, Ashley Jennifer Stevens (DOB: 01/07/1989) reportedly returned to her ex-boyfriend’s residence on Eagle Drive in Ogema after breaking up with him earlier that day. The complaint alleges that Stevens was intoxicated, got into an argument with the victim, and punched him twice in the face, leaving a large wound on his upper lip.
The case was handled by Sergeant Ryan Zettel of the White Earth Police Department, who confirmed that Stevens admitted to the assault during the investigation.
If convicted, Stevens could face up to 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine under Minnesota Statute 609.2242.1(2).
