Moorhead, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Justin L. Harkins, a Grand Forks man, is facing serious charges after allegedly firing a BB handgun during a violent altercation in Moorhead on June 21st.
Moorhead police responded to a call at 19 Mayfair Drive in the afternoon, where two men had been fighting. Court documents say Harkins was arguing with a couple when the confrontation turned physical. During the struggle with the male victim, Harkins’s BB handgun discharged, hitting the man once in the ribs and once in the arm.
Harkins fled the scene but was later apprehended by authorities.
He now faces charges of:

Felony assault with a dangerous weapon

Misdemeanor assault

Carrying a BB gun in a public place
He remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
