Basketball Court Shooting in Grand Forks: Suspect in Custody

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – We have an update regarding a Saturday evening shooting at a basketball court in Grand Forks. The incident occurred behind Fuji’s Restaurant on South Washington Street, near the Purpur Arena. According to Sergeant Angstrom of the Grand Forks Police, officers were dispatched at 8:07 p.m. to the Abbott Sports Complex at 112 7th Avenue South for a male subject who had been shot.

The initial investigation revealed a disturbance on the basketball court involving two individuals known to each other. During the altercation, a 25-year-old male was shot and transported by a private vehicle to Altru with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim has not been identified. The suspect, 24-year-old Allen Little of Grand Forks, was detained on the scene. Further investigation led to Little’s arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment with extreme indifference.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no known threat to the public. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the Grand Forks Police Department.
