Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — Four people were hurt after an ambulance crashed early Saturday on Highway 89 in Liberty Township.
The crash happened at about 2:38 a.m. near mile marker 8, based on the incident report.
Authorities said the ambulance was traveling southbound before the driver lost control.
The vehicle then went into the east ditch along Highway 89.
After leaving the road, the ambulance rolled onto its passenger side.
Four Taken to Hospital
The driver was a 63-year-old man from Bemidji.
Three other people were riding in the ambulance at the time.
All four people were taken to Sanford Bemidji Hospital for treatment.
Officials said the injuries were not life-threatening.
No names were released in the incident report.
Seat Belts Were In Use
Authorities also reported that all four people were wearing seat belts.
That likely helped reduce the seriousness of the injuries.
Crashes involving emergency vehicles can be especially dangerous.
