News Release – 3/28/25

On the evening of 03/19/25, a Red Lake County deputy checked on an occupied semi-truck that was parked along Hwy. #32 south of Red Lake Falls. The driver was directed to park in a safer location to take a rest.

On the evening of 03/22/25, Red Lake County Emergency Services crews welcomed the Rebels back into the county and they escorted the team and their 3rd Place Trophy to the Oklee School.

Around noon on 03/24/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of International Dr. and Champagne Ave. in Red Lake Falls. The involved occupants refused to be treated by an ambulance, but the two vehicles sustained substantial damage and had to be towed from the scene. One of the drivers, Mina Grace Turnbow (38) was cited for failing to stop a stop sign and careless driving.

On the afternoon of 03/24/25, a Red Lake County deputy was advised of a parking complaint in the city of Oklee. They contacted the owner and the vehicle was moved.

On the evening of 03/24/25, Roberta Jo Roff (47) of Red Lake Falls was cited for misdemeanor driving after suspension, no current motor vehicle insurance and expired motor vehicle registration on 8th St. SW in Red Lake Falls.

On the afternoon of 03/26/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault that was going on at a Louisville Township residence. The caller claimed they had been stabbed during the altercation. Red Lake County law enforcement officers and the Red Lake Falls Ambulance responded. Both the suspect and the victim left the residence prior to law enforcement’s arrival. They were located, driving in separate vehicles and they were stopped on CR. #18 west of Red Lake Falls. The suspect, Sheila Marie Olberg (45) of Red Lake Falls was arrested without incident. She was taken to jail in Crookston and was booked for felony assault. The adult male victim was transported to the Riverview ER in Crookston to be treated.

On the afternoon of 03/27/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of some kids tearing around Plummer on a dirt bike. When a Red Lake County deputy arrived, the suspect vehicle was parked at a residence. The deputy spoke with the guardian of the juvenile and counseled them on the behavior.

In the early morning hours of 03/28/25, Red Lake County deputies, the Red Lake Falls Fire Department, and the Red Lake Falls Ambulance responded to a garage that was on fire in the city of Red Lake Falls. There were no reported injuries, and the fire was extinguished quickly and other than the garage, no other structures were damaged.
