West Fargo, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A routine traffic stop for a stop sign violation in West Fargo led to a major drug trafficking arrest, according to court records.

On March 22nd, officers pulled over David Allen Vernoy of Fargo. As he exited his vehicle, police immediately spotted a needle containing a white crystal-like substance in plain view — suspected to be methamphetamine.

A subsequent search led to the discovery of:

  • 15 grams of methamphetamine

  • Drug paraphernalia

  • $314 in cash, believed to be related to drug transactions

Vernoy was promptly arrested and now faces the following charges:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine

  • Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

🧠 Did you know?

  • In North Dakota, possessing over 10 grams of meth is typically charged as intent to deliver, triggering harsher penalties.

  • West Fargo PD reports increasing meth-related traffic stops in routine violation cases.

The case remains active as Vernoy proceeds through the judicial process.
