Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On January 9, 2025, in Pennington County District Court, Lilianna Guadalupe Garcia, 24, formerly of Thief River Falls, was sentenced for failing to fulfill predatory offender registration requirements. The felony charge of predatory offender—knowingly commits act or fails to fulfill registration requirement was dismissed. Garcia, currently residing at the Shakopee correctional facility, received a prison sentence of 12 months and one day, to be served concurrently with another case. She was also ordered to provide a DNA sample and pay $210 in fees and fines.

According to the complaint, Garcia was marked as non-compliant on September 8, 2024. Her probation officer contacted her later that week, instructing her to complete her registration packet; however, she failed to do so. A juvenile police investigator visited Garcia’s last registered address and found an eviction notice. A neighbor indicated that Garcia had moved out two weeks earlier. Attempts to reach Garcia via her registered phone number were unsuccessful, and it was discovered that she was no longer employed at the restaurant listed on her registration. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
