Thief River Falls Legal Case Updates: Fines, Probations, and Dismissals 12-11-2024

Thief River Falls Police Department Cases:

  • Jacob Carl Seglem, 27, Middle River, charged with domestic assault. Fined $135, sentenced to 90 days in jail (stayed for two years), supervised probation for two years, with no contact with victim(s). Not allowed to enter the victim’s residence. Required to attend the Domestic Abuse Batterers’ Intervention Program, complete a comprehensive assessment within 30 days of sentencing, and follow the treatment and aftercare recommendations.
  • Cherie Hunter Thorne, 59, Woodville, Texas, charged with careless driving. Fined $135, sentenced to 30 days in jail (stayed for one year) with unsupervised probation for one year. The charge of no insurance (owner) was dismissed.
  • Tina Lou Klasen, 38, Thief River Falls, received a statutory stay of adjudication for a gross misdemeanor charge of fifth-degree possession of a Schedule 1, 2, 3, or 4 drug or paraphernalia residual (not cannabis or hemp). Continued with a $125 fine and supervised probation for two years. A comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing is required, with completion of treatment and aftercare. Charges for possession of a legend drug, open bottle, and driving after revocation were dismissed.

Pennington County Sheriff’s Office Cases:

  • Amanda Ruth Johnson, 44, Thief River Falls, charged with issuing a worthless check (value not more than $250). The case was continued for dismissal with six months of probation and $150 restitution.
  • Martin George Arndt, 62, Goodridge, charged with disorderly conduct. Fined $210 and sentenced to 30 days in jail (stayed for one year) with unsupervised probation for one year.
  • Bradley Allen Bockwitz, 53, Humboldt, had a charge of driving after revocation dismissed.

Minnesota State Patrol Cases:

  • Richard Charles Confer, 57, Warren, fined $125 for speeding (65/60), with the charge of no proof of insurance dismissed.

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Case:

  • Austin Todd Przybylski, 29, Thief River Falls, fined $185 for an open bottle violation.
