BELTRAMI COUNTY, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities are asking hunters to help locate two men who disappeared in northern Minnesota during 2025.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office renewed its appeal as hunters return to wooded areas for the 2026 hunting season.
Investigators continue searching for Russell Coyle of the Kelliher area and Corey Bryant, whose last known location was Bemidji.
Both cases remain open despite ground searches and several investigative leads.
Russell Coyle Missing Since April 2025
Russell Anthony Coyle was 68 when he disappeared from his home north of Kelliher.
His last known location was his residence on April 24, 2025.
Coyle is described as a white man with blue eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.
He weighed around 200 pounds when he disappeared.
Authorities said Coyle frequently wore checkered or flannel shirts with blue jeans.
He also commonly wore glasses, had a beard, and carried a pliers holder on his belt.
His exact clothing when he disappeared remains unknown.
Family members reported losing contact with Coyle after he arranged for a friend to watch his dog.
Investigators previously searched the surrounding area using ground teams, drones, and K-9 units.
The sheriff’s office also encouraged residents to check outbuildings, hunting cabins, and unused vehicles for possible clues.
Additional details are available in the official Beltrami County missing-person announcement.

Corey Bryant Missing From Bemidji Area
Corey Adam Bryant was 31 when authorities began investigating his disappearance.
His last known location was in Bemidji on December 19, 2025.
Bryant is described as a white man with blue eyes.
He stands approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds.
Earlier reports said Bryant had communicated with family members as recently as late January 2026.
However, authorities continue to identify December 19 as his last known location in their latest public appeal.
Investigators followed several leads but have been unable to locate Bryant.
Family members and volunteers also organized a search during May 2026.
Additional coverage of Bryant’s disappearance is available from Lakeland News.
Hunters Asked to Watch for Possible Clues
The sheriff’s office hopes hunters and landowners can provide new information as they visit remote properties.
Deputies are asking people to remain observant around hunting stands, cabins, wooded areas, and other rural locations.
Investigators want to hear about anything that might help establish what happened to either missing man.
Authorities have not announced that either person has been located.
