Authorities located a vehicle traveling slowly westbound along Highway 11.

However, the driver reportedly avoided the spikes and continued traveling west.
According to investigators, the vehicle reached the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 89.
The driver then accelerated, reaching speeds of approximately 90 mph during the pursuit.
Law enforcement continued following the vehicle as it traveled west of Roseau.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle pulled over approximately two miles west of Roseau.
However, officers believed the driver might attempt to flee again.
Deputies positioned their patrol vehicles around the stopped vehicle to prevent another escape attempt.
Hites exited the vehicle and followed officers’ commands.
Authorities arrested him without further incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
