Homeless Man Accused of Attempted Murder: Bail Set at $250,000

GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) — A 44-year-old homeless man named Moses Ayom made his first court appearance on Tuesday, November 5th, in connection with an alleged attempt to stab another man at the Grand Forks homeless shelter. The incident occurred on Friday, November 1st.

According to court documents, Ayom claimed that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris “pressured” him into committing the crime. However, no further details were provided regarding this claim.

Ayom was arrested after a high-speed chase that spanned approximately 40 miles north of Grand Forks. He faces seven charges in total, including attempted murder for nearly stabbing Travis Vigen to death and reckless endangerment for allegedly hitting three construction workers during the pursuit.

During his court hearing, Ayom expressed interest in returning to Canada before causing further problems. The judge subsequently set bail at $250,000.

If convicted of the attempted murder charge, Ayom faces up to 20 years in prison.
