ROSEAU CO., Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — David Corneliusen, a 65-year-old man from Warroad, Minnesota, has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his wife. The incident occurred in August 2023.
Corneliusen was offered a Norgaard plea, which allows him to admit to his role in the crime without remembering it. As a result, a trial that was set to start next week has been canceled.
He faces charges of second-degree murder and will be sentenced on December 16. The maximum sentence he could receive is up to 40 years in prison.
During the investigation, Corneliusen stated that he shot his wife with a pistol after they had a verbal argument.
