Earlier Charges Against Elias Thompson

Elias Thompson, of Ogema, also faces new felony charges in Becker County.

He is charged with receiving stolen property.

He is also charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition by an ineligible person.

Police say the investigation led them to Elias Thompson.

Authorities say they seized two guns during the case.

Police say both guns were reported stolen.

Reports list the theft locations as St. Cloud and Minneapolis.

Prior Conviction Noted

Charging documents also note a prior first-degree burglary conviction for Elias Thompson.

The documents cite that conviction in Hennepin County.

That history is part of the firearm eligibility claim in the new case.

What Happens Next

Both cases will move through Becker County court.
