LONDON, UK — In a thrilling match in London, the Minnesota Vikings held off a late comeback attempt by the New York Jets, winning 23-17. Veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore sealed the victory with a clutch interception off Aaron Rodgers in the final minutes, preserving the Vikings’ perfect 5-0 start to the season.
Despite building a 17-0 lead, the Vikings watched the Jets cut the deficit to six points late in the game. The defense, however, stepped up with three interceptions, including a pick-six by Andrew Van Ginkel in the first quarter. Sam Darnold struggled, but kicker Will Reichard’s two field goals and Gilmore’s late-game heroics ensured the victory.
