Grand Forks, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks woman is facing a new felony charge. Court documents say she resisted while officers tried to arrest her.

The defendant is Leann M. Moore of Grand Forks. Records say she is charged with a felony in the prevention of arrest.

Court documents say officers watched Moore’s home on December 23. The address listed was 1408 University Avenue in Grand Forks.

Documents say Moore had multiple felony warrants at the time. An officer wrote that Moore had been arrested before.

The officer also wrote that Moore often used illegal drugs before arrests. Based on that, the officer requested a body-only search warrant.

That warrant covered Moore’s person. Court documents say a judge approved the warrant.

Officers went to the home with the signed warrant. Documents say they knocked and then entered the residence.

Officers searched upstairs. Court documents say they found Moore hiding in a bedroom closet.

Documents say Moore came out of the closet. An officer ordered her to put her hands behind her back.

Court documents say Moore resisted right away. They say she pulled her arms forward with force.

Documents say she continued to resist for a short time. Officers then placed her in handcuffs, according to the filing.
