Warren Woman Faces Felony Drug Charge

Warren (trfnews.i234.me) — Hannah Nicole Thompson faces two charges in Pennington County District Court.

A criminal complaint accuses Thompson of possessing 10 prescription pills classified as a Schedule II controlled substance.

The alleged offense happened on August 5, 2026, in Pennington County.

Prosecutors charged Thompson with fifth-degree controlled substance possession, a felony.

The complaint lists a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

She also faces a gross misdemeanor charge for allegedly trying to avoid motor vehicle taxes.

That charge carries up to one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.

Pills Found At Gas Station

According to the complaint, a bag of pills was found at Petro Pumper Northdale Oil.

The bag contained 10 white and yellow capsules marked “30mg” and “T.”

Investigators identified the pills as amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, commonly sold as Adderall.

The complaint states the pills were classified as a Schedule II controlled substance.

Investigators later obtained surveillance video from the gas station.

The footage showed a blue PT Cruiser pull up near the store entrance.

A woman got out of the vehicle and walked toward the fuel pump.

The complaint says a clear plastic bag appeared to fall near the driver’s door.

Later footage showed the woman looking around the vehicle before leaving the station.

Investigators said they used records and photographs to identify the woman as Hannah Nicole Thompson.

Investigators later went to Thompson’s Warren home and found the blue PT Cruiser outside.

The complaint says mail bearing Thompson’s name was visible inside the vehicle.

Thompson later spoke with investigators outside her home.

She said the blue PT Cruiser was the vehicle she drove.

She also acknowledged that she was the woman shown in the gas station video.

However, Thompson denied that the plastic bag fell from her vehicle.

She later asked for a lawyer, and the interview ended.

The complaint says the PT Cruiser had been sold months earlier.

However, it remained registered to its previous owners.

The vehicle’s registration tabs had also expired in April 2026.

Prosecutors allege Thompson delayed registering the vehicle to avoid paying the proper tax.

The charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 168.35.

The case is filed as 57-CR-26-595 in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.

Minnesota law covers fifth-degree drug crimes under Statute 152.025.
