UPDATE 9/29/2026: An August 1 hit-and-run injury crash has been solved thanks to an anonymous tip from the public.
Investigators located and identified the vehicle involved in the crash. The driver, a 58-year-old Minot man, was charged with Duty in Accident Involving Injury, class A misdemeanor; Failure to Give Immediate Notice of Accident, $50; Failure to Yield Right of Way, $40; and Driving Without Liability Insurance, $150.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 58-year-old Minot woman, was charged with Hindering Law Enforcement/Providing False Information, class A misdemeanor.
The ND State Patrol thanks the public for their assistance. Information from the public can make a difference and, in this case, helped investigators identify the vehicle and those involved.

**PLEASE SHARE** The North Dakota State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run injury crash that occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 Bypass and 30th Avenue NW in Minot.
Based on witness statements and vehicle parts recovered at the scene, the suspect vehicle is believed to be a white 1997 to 2003 Ford F-150 Crew Cab.
The suspect vehicle is expected to have damage to the front driver’s-side area with a broken headlamp. There may also be blue paint transfer from the other vehicle involved in the crash.
The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on 30th Avenue NW from the Highway 83 Bypass.

$240 in total fines? Did I read that right? Not much of a deterrent. Leaving the scene of an accident should be an arrestable offense. Misdemeanor at the very least. The state needs to change the laws to deter bad behavior otherwise why stick around?
Glad yall cought them. But id gave them stiffer fines for this negotiations but I understand how it works
The hit and run should be a felony,we need stricter laws to make a person think twice before fleeing the scene in my opinion.
