Blackduck Man Faces Threats, Drug, Assault Charges
Blackduck, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Eric Wayne Gourley faces three charges after an alleged confrontation in Blackduck.
The case includes felony terroristic threats, drug possession, and misdemeanor domestic assault allegations.
The charges stem from an incident reported September 23, 2026.
The case is filed in Beltrami County District Court as 04-CR-26-2362.
Confrontation Reported Near School
According to the complaint, the incident happened in the Blackduck High School parking lot.
A school administrator reported seeing Gourley approach a woman identified in court records as T.G.
The complaint says Gourley appeared upset while following T.G. toward her vehicle.
Surveillance video allegedly shows Gourley standing against the driver’s door.
Prosecutors say this prevented T.G. from entering the vehicle.
T.G. then forced the door open, according to the complaint.
Gourley allegedly pushed the door back toward her.
The complaint says she became pinned between the door and the vehicle frame.
Witnesses also reported hearing Gourley threaten to kill T.G.
T.G. later told investigators she believed the statements were death threats.
She also reported fearing for her safety.
Arrest Leads to Drug Allegation
Investigators later located Gourley at a Dollar General store in Blackduck.
He was told he was under arrest for domestic assault.
Gourley denied touching T.G., according to the complaint.
While being escorted through the store, officers allegedly saw Gourley drop a small plastic baggie.
The baggie contained a crystalline substance, according to prosecutors.
The substance later field-tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.
Gourley denied knowing about the substance.
He also said he had not used methamphetamine for about five years.
Gourley told investigators that T.G. had struck him with the vehicle door.
He denied assaulting her, according to the complaint.
Three Charges Filed
Count One charges Gourley with terroristic threats under Minnesota Statute 609.713.
The complaint lists that charge as a felony.
It carries a maximum penalty of five years and a $10,000 fine.
Count Two alleges fifth-degree drug possession involving methamphetamine.
That charge falls under Minnesota Statute 152.025.
Count Three charges misdemeanor domestic assault under Minnesota Statute 609.2242.
The complaint was filed with an order of detention.
