Vandalism Spree Hits East Grand Forks: Residents Warned to Be Vigilant

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A series of brazen vandalism incidents has shaken residents in The Point neighborhood, a south East Grand Forks community along the Red River. Since August, vandals have thrown rocks through windows of five homes, causing significant damage and leaving homeowners on edge.

The most recent incident occurred at 11:30 p.m., when the homeowner was sleeping, officials said. Police believe these incidents are being carried out by individuals targeting homes at random, rather than a specific pattern or motive.

“We’re urging residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity,” Cpl. Justin Roue with the East Grand Forks Police Department emphasized. “If you’ve seen anything unusual in your neighborhood, even if it seems insignificant, it might be the missing piece we need to solve this.”

The cost of replacing each damaged window exceeds $1,000, making these incidents a felony offense for those caught and charged.

Residents are advised to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity or individuals lurking around homes. If you have information about these vandalism incidents, please contact the East Grand Forks Police Department.
