ST PAUL, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – The St. Paul Police Department has released body camera footage showing the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Seantrell Murdock, suspected of a murder that took place the night before in St. Paul. Officers had been monitoring a home in Belle Plaine, where Murdock’s vehicle was registered. Early in the morning, Murdock was spotted leaving the house, and bodycams captured officers ordering him to show his hands. Moments later, officers yelled “Gun! Gun!” before opening fire.

Murdock, who was believed to be armed, was fatally wounded. As officers placed him in handcuffs, he asked, “Why did you shoot me?” An officer responded, “Because you had a gun in your hand,” with a gun visible next to Murdock.

Murdock had been a suspect in the murder of 66-year-old artist Carrie Kwok, who was shot while working on an art project outside her studio in St. Paul. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is investigating the incident, while the involved officers, Aaron Bohlen and Lance Christianson, have been placed on administrative leave during the inquiry.
