Officers Not Charged in Fatal Shooting of East Grand Forks Suspect

EAST GRAND FORKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Polk County, Minnesota Attorney has recommended no charges against any of the officers involved in the deadly shooting of Lucas Gilberton last January in rural East Grand Forks. He was wanted on outstanding warrants and was in possession of a gun, before throwing it out a window, just before he was fatally shot.

  1. According to the Grand Forks Herald report regarding Officer Aeisso Schrage's answer to the civil lawsuit Lucas Gilbertson was crouching near a window when he shot him and it was implied it was other officers safety that was in danger. This explanation from Widseth and the BCA is a direct contradiction to that. They are saying he rushed Officer Schrage. Which is it?

If it takes 8 months and a lengthy explanation I'm not sure "justified" is the term to use.
