West Fargo Brothers Face Felony Assault Charges

West Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — Two brothers face felony charges after a fight outside a West Fargo bar injured three people.

Landon Charles Gode, 23, of West Fargo, and Mason Rollance Gode, 24, of Braverville, Minnesota, were charged September 14.

Each man faces one count of aggravated assault, a Class C felony.

The charges were filed in Cass County District Court.

Both men were arraigned in custody on September 14.

A preliminary hearing and arraignment is scheduled for October 16.

A felony dispositional conference is scheduled for December 2.

The charges are allegations. Both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Fight Reported Outside West Fargo Bar

Police were called to Unhynged Bar on Sheyenne Street around 2:06 a.m. on September 12.

A caller reported an active fight in the parking lot.

The caller also reported two people were down and one person was unconscious.

Police arrived and found a large crowd outside the business.

An injured woman was sitting on the ground when officers arrived.

The police report says the fight followed a comment referencing Native Americans.

That comment angered one of two men who later spoke with police, according to the report.

Police reviewed surveillance video from the business.

The report says one man pushed Landon Gode during the confrontation.

Landon Gode then lifted the man and slammed him onto the concrete, according to police.

The man briefly lost consciousness after hitting the ground, the report states.

Police say Mason Gode then struck a second man.

The report says Mason lifted that man and slammed him onto the pavement.

The second man lost consciousness for several minutes, according to police.

Bystanders told officers the man appeared to suffer a seizure after the impact.

The confrontation continued after the first injuries, according to the report.

One man was pushed down again and fell onto a woman who stepped into the fight.

The woman struck her head on the pavement and lost consciousness.

Paramedics treated her at the scene.

Police later reported that she suffered a broken nose.

Landon Gode and Mason Gode were arrested at the scene.

Both were booked into the Cass County Jail.

The bar manager also asked that both men be trespassed from the property.
