Thief River Falls – Thomas Roy Srnsky, 72, of Thief River Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Thomas was born March 12, 1954, in Thief River Falls, the son of Louis and Mildred (Bye) Srnsky. He was baptized at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire. Thomas attended grade school in St. Hilaire and later Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.
Throughout his working years, Thomas held a variety of jobs that reflected his hardworking and hands-on nature. He worked in carpentry in Norman, OK; at Hydra Mac in Thief River Falls; Vigen Construction in Grand Forks; and at Tom’s Video and Water Beds and Cloud Nine Water Beds in Thief River Falls. He spent the last 30 years of his working career at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls.
Thomas was a man who enjoyed staying busy and working with his hands. He especially enjoyed working with wood and creating projects for his family and friends. He also loved fishing on Lake of the Woods, cutting wood, spending time outside, and being around animals. Above all else, Thomas treasured his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and many special memories.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie; daughter, Tracy; granddaughters, Courtney and Chelsey (Angel); great-grandchildren, Crystal, Tessa, and Trinity, with another great-grandchild expected in October; siblings, David Srnsky of Purcell, OK, Linda (Doug) Torgerson of Grygla, Mike (Maria) Srnsky of Thief River Falls, Randy Srnsky of Thief River Falls, Sandy (David) Hagen of St. Hilaire, and Dennis (Rose) Srnsky of Thief River Falls; sister-in-law, Della Srnsky; and many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Pam Halvorson and brother-in-law David Erlenmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred Srnsky; infant siblings, Shirley and Larry; brothers, Roger and Donald; and sister-in-law, Linda Srnsky.
Thomas will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he shared with those closest to him.
A visitation was held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
The funeral service was held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial followed the service.
